Every day, I start my morning by reading and meditating on one chapter from the Bible.
God’s Word is the compass that guides us through the storms of life.
Today’s chapter is Colossians 1—a message of peace, joy, and strength in Christ.
♥ What’s the Problem?(무엇이 문제인가요?)
Colossians 1 clearly teaches that salvation is found in Christ alone.

Today, many claim to believe in Jesus, but their actual lives often depend on worldly philosophies, humanism, religious legalism, or their own righteousness.
The Colossian church struggled with the same issue.
Although they had received the gospel, they were still influenced by Judaism, asceticism, angel worship, and philosophical ideas, which blurred the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.
Likewise, we too can be tempted to drift from the core of our faith—trying to seek salvation through other means or judge our faith by the world’s standards and logic.
오늘날 많은 사람들이 예수님을 믿는다고 말하면서도, 실제 삶에서는 여전히 세상 철학, 인본주의, 종교적 율법주의, 자기의 의에 기대어 살아가고 있습니다.
골로새 교회도 비슷한 상황이었습니다.
그들은 복음을 들었지만, 여전히 유대주의나 금욕주의, 천사 숭배, 철학적 사상들로 혼란을 겪고 있었고, 예수 그리스도의 유일성이 흐려지고 있었습니다.
우리도 신앙의 본질에서 벗어나, 예수님 외에 다른 것으로 구원을 이루려 하거나, 세상의 이론과 기준으로 신앙을 판단하려는 유혹에 쉽게 빠집니다.
♥ Why Is This a Problem?( 왜 그것이 문제인가요?)
Colossians 1: Only Christ has the power to deliver us from the dominion of darkness and bring true freedom and redemption.
골로새서 1장 : 오직 예수님 만이 어둠의 권세에서 벗어나 참 자유와 구속을 주십니다

Jesus Christ is not just a doctrine or religious leader—He is the Creator who existed before all things, the Head of the Church, and the one who holds supremacy over all (Col. 1:15–18).
There is no salvation apart from Him.
If we do not fully know Him or accept Him as Lord of our lives, our faith easily deteriorates into a lifeless religious routine.
From a Roman prison, Paul wrote this letter, earnestly praying that the believers in Colossae would rediscover the true identity and essence of Christ (Col. 1:9–11).
When we truly know Him, we can be freed from darkness and experience genuine liberty and redemption (Col. 1:13–14).
예수 그리스도는 단순한 교리나 종교 지도자가 아니라 만물보다 먼저 계신 창조 주요, 교회의 머리이자, 만물 가운데 으뜸이 되시는 분입니다(골 1:15~18).
그분 외에는 구원이 없습니다.
그런데 우리가 그분을 온전히 알지 못하고, 삶의 주인으로 모시지 않는다면, 신앙은 금세 형식적이고 허무한 종교생활로 전락하게 됩니다.
바울은 로마 감옥에서 이 서신을 쓰며, 골로새 교인들이 다시금 예수 그리스도의 정체성과 본질을 깨닫기를 간절히 기도했습니다(골 1:9 ~ 11)
그분을 알 때, 우리는 어둠의 권세에서 벗어나 참 자유와 구속(구원)을 누릴 수 있습니다(골 1:13~14).
♥ What’s the Solution?( 어떤 해결책이 있나요?)
Colossians 1: Know Jesus rightly again, hold on to the power of the gospel, and be filled with joy and prayer.
골로새서 1장 : 예수님을 다시 올바로 알고 믿고 복음의 능력을 붙들고 기도와 기쁨으로 충만해야 합니다.

바울은 골로새서 1장에서 세 가지 중요한 해결책을 제시합니다.
Paul presents three vital solutions in Colossians 1:
1. Know the true identity of Jesus Christ.
“He is the image of the invisible God... all things were created by Him and for Him.” (Col. 1:15–16)
Jesus is not merely human; He is the Creator and the supreme Lord who reigns above all powers as the Head of the Church.
2. Hold firmly to the power of the gospel.
The gospel is not just information—it is God’s transforming power. When the gospel is received, it bears fruit and grows (Col. 1:6), and a life pleasing to God is naturally produced (Col. 1:10).
3. Be filled with spiritual wisdom and prayer.
Paul prayed that believers would be “filled with the knowledge of God’s will” (Col. 1:9). This is not head knowledge alone, but truth applied to daily life.
As we seek Christ’s wisdom through the Word and prayer each day, we will live victoriously by God’s strength (Col. 1:11).
1. 예수 그리스도의 정체성을 바로 알아야 합니다.
“그는 보이지 아니하는 하나님의 형상이요... 만물이 그로 말미암고 그를 위하여 창조되었고...” (골 1:15~16)
예수님은 단순한 인간이 아니라 창조주이며, 교회의 머리로서 모든 권세 위에 계시는 주님이십니다.
2. 복음의 능력을 붙들어야 합니다.
복음은 단지 정보를 전달하는 것이 아니라 사람을 변화시키는 하나님의 능력입니다. 복음이 임할 때 열매가 맺히고 자라나며(골 1:6), 삶 전체가 주를 기쁘시게 하는 열매로 드러납니다(골 1:10).
3. 영적 통찰과 기도로 충만해야 합니다.
바울은 “하나님의 뜻을 아는 지식으로 충만하게 되길” 기도했습니다(골 1:9). 이는 단지 머리 지식이 아니라 삶에서의 적용을 포함합니다.
날마다 말씀과 기도로 그리스도의 지혜를 구할 때, 우리는 모든 능력으로 견디고 이기는 삶을 살게 됩니다(골 1:11).
♥ What Can We Expect?( 어떤 결과를 기대할 수 있나요?)
Colossians 1: May we receive Jesus—the fruit of faith, love, and hope—as our perfect Savior who pleases God.

When we rightly know Christ, hold fast to the gospel, and are filled with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, our lives will be transformed.
We will bear the fruit of faith, love, and hope (Col. 1:4–5).
We will live lives that please God (Col. 1:10).
Christ—the hope of glory—will live and work powerfully within us (Col. 1:27).
We will grow into “mature believers,” fulfilling our calling as the light and salt of the world (Col. 1:28).
예수님을 바로 알고, 복음을 붙들고, 성령의 지혜로 충만해진 삶에는 변화된 결과가 나타납니다.
- 믿음과 사랑과 소망의 열매가 나타나며(골 1:4~5),
- 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 삶이 되어(골 1:10),
- 영광의 소망이신 그리스도께서 우리 안에 살아 역사하시게 됩니다(골 1:27).
- 우리는 “온전한 사람”으로 자라가며, 세상 가운데 빛과 소금의 사명을 감당할 수 있습니다(골 1:28).
♥ Now Is the Time to Decide( 지금이 결단할 때입니다.)
Colossians 1: Pray now and confess Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

The Word makes it clear: “Continue in the faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.” (Col. 1:23)
If we neglect this calling, our faith may become hollow—leaving us vulnerable to the deception of worldly wisdom, slowly drifting away from God without even realizing it.
Now is the moment of decision.
Confess Jesus Christ once again as your Creator, your Head, and your Redeemer, and place Him at the center of your life.
I encourage you to meditate on Colossians 1 during your QT time. Let the fullness of Christ and the power of the gospel take deep root in your heart.
And pray like Paul did:
“That I may live a life worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.”
“That I may endure with joy and be qualified to share in the inheritance of the saints.”
(Col. 1:10–12)
말씀은 우리에게 분명히 말합니다. “여러분은 믿음 안에 거하고, 굳게 서서, 복음의 소망에서 떠나지 말라”(골 1:23).
만약 우리가 이 부르심을 소홀히 한다면, 신앙은 껍데기만 남고, 자신도 모르게 세상 지혜에 빠져 하나님과 점점 멀어지는 위험에 빠질 수 있습니다.
지금이 바로 결단할 때입니다.
예수 그리스도를 나의 창조주, 나의 머리, 나의 구주로 고백하며 삶의 중심에 다시 모시십시오.
QT 시간마다 골로새서 1장을 묵상하며, 그리스도의 충만함과 복음의 능력을 깊이 새기시길 권면 드립니다.
그리고 바울처럼 기도하십시오.
“주께 합당히 행해 모든 선한 일에 열매를 맺고, 하나님을 아는 지식에서 자라게 하옵소서.”
“기쁨으로 모든 것을 견디며, 성도의 유업에 참여할 자격을 얻게 하옵소서.”

Colossians 1 vividly reveals both the identity of Christ and the transforming power of the gospel.
As believers, we must stand firm in Christ, unwavering in our faith, and confess that He alone is our hope, our salvation, and our everything.
Open Colossians again today. Like Paul, let us cry out that our souls would be firmly planted on the gospel and filled with Christ’s fullness.
골로새서 1장은 예수 그리스도의 정체성과 복음의 능력을 선명하게 드러냅니다.
믿는 자로서 우리는 흔들리지 않고 그리스도 안에 굳건히 서야 하며, 그분만이 우리의 소망이요, 구원이요, 모든 것임을 고백해야 합니다.
오늘 하루, 골로새서를 다시 펴고, 바울의 기도처럼 우리의 영혼이 복음 위에 바로 서도록 간구하며 살아갑시다.

Colossians 1: Lord, have mercy on us. As we receive You as Savior, make us whole and use us as workers for Your kingdom.

Lord,
Today, I kneel before You.
I confess that Jesus Christ alone is my Savior, my Creator, and the center of my life.
Keep me from relying on anything other than the gospel.
May I not be led astray by worldly wisdom or philosophy, but be filled with spiritual insight through Your Word and prayer.
Like Paul,
Help me labor for the gospel and make its proclamation the highest calling of my life.
Give me strength to fulfill the mission You have entrusted to me.
Pour out endurance, wisdom, and joy to run this race to the end.
주님,
제가 오늘도 주님 앞에 무릎 꿇습니다.
예수 그리스도만이 나의 구 주시며, 창조주시며, 삶의 중심임을 고백합니다.
복음 외에 다른 것에 기대지 않게 하시고,
세상의 지혜나 철학이 아니라,
주님의 말씀과 기도로 영적 통찰과 능력을 공급받게 하소서.
바울처럼,
복음을 위해 수고하고,
복음을 전하는 일을 내 삶의 최고의 사명으로 삼게 하소서.
주께서 주신 사명을 감당할 힘을 주시고,
끝까지 달려갈 수 있는 인내와 지혜와 기쁨을 부어주소서.
Lord,
Please anoint the three missions of HSRI—HSRI Investment, HSRI Real Estate Leasing, and HSRI Brokerage—which are being prepared and operated by Geonjubu for the Kingdom of God.
Though they are small now,
Strengthen them by Your hand,
Make them businesses that proclaim the gospel,
And channels of generosity for those in need.
Let Your glory alone be revealed through all these works, and may the hearts of all who read this be touched and drawn back to You.
Make me, Geonjubu, one who always rejoices, prays continually, and gives thanks in all circumstances.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
