출애굽기 4장 : 하나님과 우리의 관계, 계약이 아닌 언약입니다.

11. 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. "사람에게 입을 준 자가 누구냐? 또 귀머거리나 벙어리가 되게 하거나 눈으로 보게 하거나 눈멀게 하는 자가 누구냐? 나 여호와가 아니냐?
12. 이제 가거라. 내가 네 입에 있어 네가 무슨 말을 할지 가르쳐 줄 것이다."
24. 가는 도중에 한 야영지에서 여호와께서 모세에게 나타나 모세를 죽이려 하셨습니다.
25. 그러자 모세의 아내 십보라가 돌칼을 가져다가 자기 아들의 포피를 베어 모세의 발에 대며 "당신은 제게 피 남편이군요"라고 말했습니다.
출애굽기 4장
🟥 하나님께 부르심을 받았지만 여전히 부족한 모세
모세는 이미 80세의 노인이었습니다.
젊은 시절 애굽의 왕궁에서 권세와 명예를 누리던 그가 이제는 광야의 양치기가 되어버렸습니다.
그는 자신의 말이 둔하다며, 하나님이 맡기신 사명을 감당할 자신이 없다고 말했습니다.
“저는 말을 잘하지 못합니다.”
그러나 하나님은 말씀하셨습니다.
“사람의 입을 지은 자가 누구냐? 내가 네 입에 함께하리라.”
이 대답은 단순한 격려가 아니라, 창조주 하나님께서 인간의 한계를 초월하신다는 선언이었습니다.
모세의 연약함은 하나님의 능력을 드러내는 도구가 되었고, 바로 그 순간부터 하나님은 그의 입과 삶의 주인이 되셨습니다.
🟥 Moses, Called by God Yet Still Feeling Inadequate
Moses was already 80 years old.
Once a prince of Egypt surrounded by power and glory, he was now just a shepherd in the wilderness.
He told God, “I’m not good with words,” feeling unworthy to take on the mission God was giving him.
But God said,
“Who gave human beings their mouths? I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
This wasn’t just encouragement — it was a divine declaration.
The Creator was reminding Moses that He transcends human weakness.
Moses’s limitations became the very instrument through which God’s power was revealed.
From that moment on, God became the Lord of Moses’s words and his life.
🟨 그러나 하나님은 왜 모세를 죽이려 하셨는가?
출애굽기 4장 : 하나님과 우리의 관계, 계약이 아닌 언약입니다.

이 구절은 많은 성도들이 어려워하는 부분입니다.
하나님께서 모세를 불러 사명을 주신 직후, 왜 갑자기 그를 죽이려 하셨을까요?
그 이유는 언약의 표인 ‘할례’ 때문입니다.
모세의 아들은 아직 할례를 받지 않았습니다.
하나님은 아브라함과 언약을 맺으시며, 그의 후손이 할례를 통해 하나님의 백성임을 증표로 삼으라 하셨습니다.
그러나 모세는 그 언약의 행위를 미루고 있었습니다.
이는 곧 하나님의 언약 백성으로서의 정체성을 무시한 행위였습니다.
그래서 하나님은 모세에게 “언약 관계의 회복 없이는 사명도 없다”는 것을 깨닫게 하신 것입니다.
십보라가 돌칼을 들어 아들의 포피를 베었을 때,
그녀는 피로써 언약을 회복시켰고,
하나님의 진노는 멈추었습니다.
“당신은 제게 피 남편이군요.”
이 말은 피 언약의 회복과 순종의 고백이었습니다.
🟨 But Why Did God Try to Kill Moses?
This passage often confuses many believers.
Why would God, after calling Moses, suddenly seek to kill him?
The reason was the covenant sign of circumcision.
Moses’s son had not yet been circumcised, and that meant the covenant between God and His people had been neglected.
Through Abraham, God had commanded that every male descendant be circumcised as a sign of belonging to His covenant people.
Moses had failed to act on that covenant command.
So God was showing him: there can be no mission without covenant relationship.
When Zipporah took a flint knife and circumcised their son,
she restored the covenant through blood, and God’s wrath turned away.
She said, “You are a bridegroom of blood to me.”
That statement represented both covenant restoration and obedience.
🟩 하나님과 우리의 관계는 계약이 아닌 언약입니다

계약은 조건이 깨지면 파기됩니다.
하지만 언약은 사랑을 기반으로 한 관계입니다.
하나님은 우리가 연약하고 부족해도 포기하지 않으십니다.
단지 “순종”을 통해 그분의 사랑에 응답하길 원하십니다.
언약의 하나님은 우리에게 이렇게 말씀하십니다.
“내가 네 입에 함께하리라. 네가 무슨 말을 할지 내가 가르치리라.”
즉, 하나님이 함께하신다면 우리의 부족함은 더 이상 문제가 아닙니다.
그분이 우리의 입이 되시고, 길이 되시며, 능력이 되십니다.
하나님은 모세의 힘을 40년 동안 완전히 빼내신 후,
그 안에 겸손과 순종의 옷을 입히셨습니다.
그리고 비로소 그를 언약의 도구로 세우셨습니다.
🟩 God’s Relationship with Us Is Not a Contract but a Covenant
A contract is broken when one side fails,
but a covenant is grounded in love.
God doesn’t abandon us when we fail.
He longs for us to respond to His love through obedience.
The God of the covenant still says to us today,
“I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
When God is with us, our weakness no longer defines us.
He becomes our voice, our path, and our strength.
God spent 40 years stripping Moses of his pride
and then clothed him with humility and obedience.
Only then did He raise Moses as the vessel of His covenant.
🟦 우리의 삶에서도 언약을 회복해야 합니다
오늘날 많은 그리스도인들이 하나님과의 관계를 계약처럼 여깁니다.
‘기도하면 복을 주시겠지’, ‘헌금하면 형통하겠지’
하지만 하나님은 거래의 대상이 아닙니다.
하나님은 언약의 하나님, 곧 사랑의 하나님이십니다.
우리가 말씀에 순종하고, 사랑으로 하나님께 헌신할 때
그분은 우리의 삶을 통해 영광을 받으십니다.
그 순종의 자리에 피 언약의 능력이 임합니다.
그 피는 바로 예수 그리스도의 보혈입니다.
그 피로 우리는 구속받았고,
그 피로 우리는 하나님과 다시 하나가 되었습니다.
🟦 We Must Restore the Covenant in Our Lives Too
Many Christians today treat their faith as a contract with God.
“If I pray, He’ll bless me.” “If I give, He’ll prosper me.”
But God is not someone we negotiate with.
He is the God of the covenant, the God of love.
When we obey His Word and dedicate our lives in love,
He is glorified through our obedience.
And it is in that place of obedience that the power of the blood covenant is released —
the blood of Jesus Christ.
Through His blood, we are redeemed.
Through His blood, we are made one with God again.
🟪 말씀을 정리합니다
모세의 이야기 속에서
하나님은 우리의 언약적 정체성 회복을 원하십니다.
겉모습의 성공보다 내면의 순종을,
세상의 영향력보다 성령의 인도하심을 원하십니다.
우리가 언약의 피, 곧 예수 그리스도의 보혈 아래 거할 때
하나님은 우리의 인생을 새롭게 세우십니다.
그리고 모든 두려움을 신뢰로 바꾸시며,
“내가 네 입에 함께하리라”는 말씀을 지금도 우리에게 선포하십니다.
🟪 Let’s Wrap It Up
Through Moses’s story,
God is calling us to restore our covenant identity.
He desires inner obedience over outward success,
and the leading of the Holy Spirit over worldly influence.
When we live under the blood of Jesus Christ,
God rebuilds our lives,
turning our fears into trust and our weakness into testimony.
And He still declares today,
“I will be with your mouth.”

주님,
저의 연약함 속에서도 주님의 뜻을 이루어가시는 하나님을 찬양합니다.
모세처럼 부족하고 두려워하는 저를 향해
“내가 너와 함께하리라” 말씀해 주신 주님, 감사합니다.
주님,
저로 하여금 세상적인 계약의 신앙이 아닌
사랑과 순종의 언약 신앙으로 살게 하소서.
십보라가 피로써 언약을 회복한 것처럼
예수 그리스도의 보혈 아래 제 삶이 새롭게 되길 원합니다.
이제는 제 입술이 주님의 도구가 되어 복음을 전하게 하시고,
저의 사역(HSRI 투자 법인, 부동산 법인, 선교와 구제 사역)을 통해
하나님의 나라가 확장되게 하소서.
모든 영광을 오직 주님께 올려드립니다.
예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다.

🙏 Let Us Pray
Lord,
I praise You for fulfilling Your will even in my weakness.
Like Moses, I often feel unqualified and afraid,
yet You remind me, “I will be with you.” Thank You, Lord.
Help me to live not by a contractual faith,
but by a covenant faith rooted in love and obedience.
Just as Zipporah restored the covenant through blood,
let my life be renewed under the blood of Jesus Christ.
Make my lips an instrument to share the gospel,
and through my ministry — HSRI Investment, HSRI Real Estate, and missions and charity —
expand Your Kingdom on earth.
All glory to You alone, Lord.
